The family of the late Pa Okporie Emegha Ekuma Ikwuo of Ezi Anyuku Ugbo Ekoli-Edda in Ebonyi State has respectfully laid to rest Chief Ekuma Okporie Emegha, who passed away at the age of 108.
Born on December 19, 1916, Chief Emegha navigated a time when education was scarce, opting instead to learn a trade under a kinsman by parental guidance. By the 1940s, he began his entrepreneurial journey, trading clothing from Port Harcourt to Cross River. Following the civil war in 1967, he transitioned to cocoa farming and garment trading, maintaining his business until well into old age.

Recognized for his intelligence and community service, Chief Emegha held various leadership roles and was a prominent figure in the Ekoli Edda Igbo-Eze traditional council. His insights were invaluable to the council, with His Royal Highness Eze-Ogo John Olughu Igwe noting his role as a guiding resource in traditional leadership, even while residing in Aba, Abia State.

The burial ceremony was attended by numerous prominent figures from Ekoli and the wider Edda community, including former PDP Chairman Ebonyi State, Hon. Ugoji Ama Oti, Hon. Barr. Eni Uduma Chima among others. The event commemorated both the life and contributions of Chief Emegha as a celebrated historian.

Chief Ekuma Okporie Emegha will be remembered for his enduring impact on his community and legacy among his kinsmen.
