On Tuesday, the Chairman of Edda Local Government Area received members of the Ebonyi State House of Assembly Committee on Local Government Matters, led by Hon. Obinna Goodluck, during an oversight visit to assess ongoing projects in the council area.
The visit was part of the Committee’s constitutional responsibilities, aimed at evaluating the progress, quality, and compliance of projects undertaken by the Edda Local Government Council.
Accompanied by key officials, the committee toured various project sites, including road constructions, health centers, school rehabilitations, and other infrastructure developments intended to improve the living standards of residents.
The Council Chairman expressed gratitude to the committee for their interest in Edda’s development and reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to accountability, transparency, and sustainable grassroots development. He assured that ongoing projects would be completed to meet community expectations.
Hon. Obinna Goodluck commended the Edda Council leadership for their dedication to service delivery and visible progress in the area. He urged the council to adhere to project standards and ensure proper resource utilization for the citizens’ benefit.
The visit concluded with both parties promising to maintain collaboration to promote effective local governance and ensure that the dividends of democracy reach all communities within Edda Local Government Area.
