The leadership of Nzuko Edda Abuja has extended heartfelt congratulations to Prof. Uduma Oji Uduma on his recent appointment as the Vice-Chancellor of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN). This announcement was made by the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council, Mallam Isa Yuguda, during a press conference on Friday.
In a letter signed by the President of Nzuko Edda Abuja Chapter, Aso Ikwor Oji, the organization expressed immense pride in Prof. Uduma’s accomplishments. “Your appointment is a testament to your dedication, expertise, and leadership qualities. As a proud son of Edda, your new position will undoubtedly bring prestige and recognition to our community,” the letter stated.
The association looks forward to Prof. Uduma’s tenure, which is expected to increase access to quality education, promote research, and enhance NOUN’s reputation. His appointment serves as a shining example for the youth, demonstrating the fruits of hard work and determination.
Nzuko Edda Abuja also commended Chief Aso Ikwor for his leadership, which has led to significant achievements for the Edda community. Under his tenure, numerous members have risen to prestigious positions, including Nnanna Oji Ama, who has been appointed Commissioner of Police, Dr. Michael Nnachi Okpara as ICAN Chairman for Abuja District, and Uwakwe Aja, who has recently been promoted to Major General in the Nigerian Army.
The community is optimistic that the best is yet to come under the current leadership, and they express hope that Prof. Uduma’s leadership at NOUN and other Edda sons in various fields will bring glory to the institutions and agencies, the Edda clan, and Nigeria as a whole.
They’re as well using this opportunity to extend their hands of fellowship to Nde Edda living in Abuja and its environs to be part of the association so that we can mold the Edda of our dream.
