Kimberly Olanma Nweze, daughter of Honourable Minister of Works HE Senator David Umahi, has achieved a remarkable milestone by graduating with First Class Honours in Robotics Engineering from Queen Mary University of London.
Kimberly is only the second Nigerian known to earn a First Class degree in this pioneering field, following Silas Adekunle, the renowned inventor of MekaMon, the world’s first intelligent gaming robot.
Robotics Engineering combines principles from mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, and artificial intelligence to create robots capable of performing complex tasks autonomously. This discipline is transforming industries such as manufacturing, healthcare, agriculture, defense, and space exploration.
Kimberly’s academic success serves not only as a personal achievement but also as an inspiration for Nigerian youth aspiring to excel on the global stage. Her parents, Senator David Umahi and Chief Mrs. Rachel Umahi (Ogoo Nwanyi), proudly attended the graduation ceremony to celebrate this significant accomplishment.
