Twenty-six widows are to receive a three-bedroom bungalow from the Ebonyi State Government under its Widows’ Housing Project. The gesture is through the governor’s wife, Uzoamaka Nwifuru’s foundation, Better Health for Rural Women, Children and Internally Displaced Persons (BERWO). The projects provided the new homes to two widows in each of the 13 Local Government Areas of the state. Five persons were arraigned at the Abakaliki Magistrates’ court on Wednesday, over alleged murder and robbery of a truck valued at N39 million, a property belonging to Barrister Eni Uduma-Chima. The suspects include Amarachi Irem, 27, Oledi Philip-Nsi, 26, Ogbu Nkama, 22, Chibueze Nnachi, 36 and Okoro Stanley Onuu, 39.
